1. Hi Mac Support Manchester Our G5 is running really slow while doing the simplest of tasks and running just one or two applications! I suspect there may be some sort of virus. I know they are less likely on a Mac, but I had a similar problem on our old iMac before we switched to the G5 and copied some of the files across. The iTunes library is prime suspect as everyting seemd OK until this was copied over. Is it possible that there is something on iTunes casuing the problem? I do have Sophos Anti-Virus running, but it has not picked anything up.I live in Brentwood, Essex and would be interested in getting a price for your engineer to visit us and also for me to drop the G5 in to you.
2. My mac book pro is 5 years old and the CD drive and the screen light are not working. The reason why i am enquiring to get this fixed is that my iphone 3gs broke and it was replaced with a iphone 4. I have a lot of info backed up onto my lap top from the Iphone 3gs That I want to put on my Iphone 4. Looking for Mac support in the Manchester area I can just about see in natural light my screen but its running on Tiger where it needs to run on leopard which I dont have. Is there anything i can do to resolve this?
3. I am having trouble with my iMac internal Hard drive – When I power on it sticks on the first grey screen (with the whirling wheel) – I managed to start it up with the OSX disk and run a Disk Utility check which says ‘invaild node structure’ and can’t be repaired. I have a Time Machine back up running (so at least I have my data) and can restore the HD to a couple weeks ago but when I slept it and tried to wake it went back to the grey screen – which indicates its a permanent problem.. Do I need some Apple Mac Support?
